La Fortaleza

Otherwise referred to as Palacio de Santa Catalina, the structure has proven to hold much of the recognition not necessarily of the present public but of the historical perception of the location of Viejo San Juan over the years, from it's display of European strategy and power during the 15th through 19th century associated with much of the other historical sittings here and the political significance with it housing the governor of Puerto Rico.
